Can the backhoe on this unit be replaced with PTO and 3-point hitch? Anyone have the hardware?

I just completed converting a 4500 with torque converter and backhoe to an 8 speed manual shift with 3 pt hitch and independent PTO. I can now switch between 3 pt hitch or backhoe, and I like the manual transmission better than the original hydraulic. I bought a "transmission changeout" from cross creek tractor in Alabama. They shipped everything from the crankshaft on back except rear axles. These are all used parts, but had been steam cleaned and inspected. It's a bit of work to split the tractor and put a new flywheel, clutch, transmission, and rear end together, and cost about $2700 by the time you're finished, but there aren't many machines out there that have a heavy loader and detachable full size backhoe, and can also be used with a 3 pt hitch.

I bought a Ford 4400 with a after-market 4 wd system installed . I can't find parts to replace it - I don't know the name of the after-market kit. I need a left inner axle shaft. Also a shaft in the transfer case. any info. where I can find this stuff would be appreciated - Thanks

Sounds like it might be an Elenco Unit.
Check with Tony Jacobs' posts on this site. He has a lot of parts and info

If it happens to have the 4-speed tranny with shuttle (fwd/reverse lever on left side of steering column), then PTO can't be fitted. 3-pt. hitch and hyrdaulics can be added. I'm going thru this on a 3000 3-cyl diesel right now.
