3000 Seat Questions

Does someone have a good picture of the correct seat for a 1966 Ford 3000?

Also where is the best place to find a reproduction (as they are no longer available from the dealer)?

Thanks in advance.
Steven

There were two options available when new.
The old fashioned pan style seat and the "deluxe seat".
I bought a new seat from the dealer a few years ago - not the whole suspension and frame - just the butt bucket. They only had them in black. I see new blue ones on Ebay from time to time but they cost around $180 just for the butt bucket.

The bottom one is the one I need. The one that is on it now is in worse shape than the one in your picture.

Does it have to be 'that' seat, or do you just need a good seat?
I've changed mine over to the cheap suspension seats that are available in the surplus centers, etc. Gives you fore and aft adjustment along with a real suspension. Much more comfortable if you're taller than a midget.

If you're doing an exact restoration... I don't know where you'd get the right seat other than NewHolland. I honestly havent' checked to see if they have them or not. Could try salvage I guess....

New Holland shows the "pan and cushion assy" as
available in black, part #E2NNA405AA99M
Don't know what it costs or if it is really available, but would like to know, as I need one.
Double check the drawing to be sure this
is the same as yours, as several deluxe seats were
used.

I bought a aftermarket seat at the local Bg R. It had multiple bolt holes in the back and bottom that fit up pretty close. Only problem is that I got on the seat sortly thereafter with a screw driver in the back pocket. Yep. It cut the vinyl and now it is eating itself. Is a good seat otherwise and only cost me around $70 at the time. Get to keep the OEM suspension, which I like very much. Here is a pic.

The one that is available from NH is not the correct blue one. I would like to go back to an original. (Even though it is supposed to be less comfortable than a bed of nails.)

I think I have the enough of the original seat mounting/suspension assembly that we could re-use that, but the seat pad itself is pretty much gone and the pan is pretty rusted out. I just wanted to find a reproduction of the whole thing, bolt it on, and be done.
