1964 Ford 4000 Glow Plug Harness Diagram

I have a 1964 Ford 4000 Diesel light industrial tractor and the wiring is worse than a rats nest. My tractor runs great but I have to start it by touching two wires together and half a spray of either on cold days. Does anyone have a diagram of the glow plug circuit? I was able to pull a complete wiring diagram provided by John in LA off of the achives (thanks John) but I need the final piece of the puzzle. Thanks for the help!!

John,
Thanks very much for the glow plug diagram. Do you have any idea where I can get the glow plug switch? Does anyone have a picture of what it looks like?
Once again thanks very much for the help!

It"s just a momentary contact (spring loaded) push button switch. Probably the same switch that"s used as the starter switch on a "59-"64 Select-O-Speed.

Like Alan said the switch is just a spring loaded push button switch. You can get a aftermarket replacement at any auto parts store.
You can also use a 12v car relay that grounds threw the case bolts. If you use this just do not put the ground wire from relay shown in the diagram.

Nice machine! That's a Sherman reverser transmission (right?). Those are rare.

The glow switch needs to be able to take at least 100 amps by the way. You don' t want to use a cheapo and fry it which could lead to a fire.

Thanks for the help, that's why I love this website.
Thanks for the compliment on my 4000, a great tractor that I got for little or nothing. It has paid for itself ten time over on my farm. That is a reversing transmission, I'm not sure how the magic works but it's handy when your running the loader. I need to track down some sheetmetal for it.......keep me in mind if you see some for sale.
