I think you guys answered this clear back in "04" with a photobucket from John in LA (thanks for all the hard work.) As usual, someone has left me with a little different twist. They installed a standard (spring loaded) four position ignition switch, "ACC~OFF~ON~Start.
Yep, they left off the saftey wire. Yep, it"s a Select-A-Matic. Won"t go into the "Rest Of The Story". Stopped working on it, showered and went to work and still have not had time to return to it yet. I figure from all of the drawings you gentlemen put in here, that starter relay still has to have a ground wire. Will that saftey wire work, since it goes to ground when in park? Thanks!

First of all it's a Select-O-Speed.
You need an ungrounded (insulated) 4 post relay. The original is Ford part number 311007 for 6V Gas and 311006 for 12V Diesel. A wire from the junction block that is "hot" when the key is turned ON connects to one of the small posts. The other small post is connected to a wire that goes to the push button starter switch under the right hood panel and from there it goes to a safety switch inside the transmission. When the shift lever is in "P" the safety switch is grounded and pressing the starter button grounds the relay, energizing it and sending power to the starter.
