Ok, I thought I knew where it would be - I thought the 2 price guides I own would tell me - nope. Struck out.

Where's the serial # of the TW 20 located?

Two places: first, behind the RH radiator access shield, up toward the top by the air cleaner on the radiator support should be a tag glued on to it, containing all the numbers you could ever want pertaining to that machine. Second, the serial number is stamped in the rear axle housing on a vertical face just above the top link retainer. The tractor serial number should start with the letter "C", followed by 6 numbers.

Thanks - I KNEW it was around that radiator, just didn't twist my head in enough directions.... The numbers on the back by the upper link made no sense at all tho. Ah, 1979, well, how much updating could they do? ;)

I was suppressed when I looked up the part number of the auxiliary drive shaft because for some reason the part number went through a radical change and it lost its "Basic Part Number". Ford part numbers follow the following rules. Most part numbers are in three parts. The middle part is called the ... [Read Article]
