at 60 mph my OD light starts flashing and flashes until I shut the engine off and restart. I checked the fluid it is ok.. I also have a little rough shifting and a little whine in the transmisson..Is it really bad news?? thanks

If it's anything like the OD light strange behavior I experienced on my Dodge Ram 2500, then yes, it's bad news. A reputable trans shop should be able to plug into your car's computer and read transmission related error codes. It could be something as simple as a bad shift solenoid. Mine turned out to be a toasted tranny.

I'm afraid it is very bad news indeed. Operating any Ford tractor at speeds over 55mph causes ruts in the field that can hamper crop yield.
