I just got this tractor when i got it the guy said it was a 2000! but lesson learned its not, when i picked it up it wouldnt run right the guy (who also said he has a tractor shop)said there must be a little trash in the carb cause they just put a new needle seat(spilling?) in it. i have tore the carb down several times and cleaned it out. it runs a little while then starts to miss i can pull out the choke and it will run for a few more minutes then die. someone please help me with this, also i cant tell if its a naa or a jubilee cause where the #s are its to pitted up, it has the axle nut on the rearend so i figure its a naa or a jubilee, any ideas would be helpful. thanks alot

Disconnect the fuel line at the carb and see if it is running out, especially after it dies on you... my guess is it isn't.... one quick fix I did was to blow some compressed air back through the fuel line towards the tank and see if the flow increases.... tanks full of rust and debris are quite common

I've had similar problem w/other machiner/engines. Check the fuel tank for rust/debris. Also, check the fuel line for possible blockage. When you apply choke, more fuel will be pulled. Therefore, it sounds like fuel starvation. You've adequately cleaned the carb, but it won't work if it doesn't get fuel.

Do you have spark? My bets are you don't. Replace condensor, and then coil if it continues.

One thing to check.... the NAA sediment bowl won't drain the fuel tank to the bottom unless the valve stem is in the full open position.. the tank capacity is 11 gals.. one gallon is the reserve supply...there is a screen up in the tank along with the sediment bulb screen and at the carb elbow..

J.W., I'll bet that you could post this same message to the "2N 8N 9N" board and get much more advice. That board gets much more traffic and the NAA is one in the "N" family as far as most are concerned. By the way, the NAA is just another name for Jubilee. It is one in the same. Good luck, H Otis
