801 rebuilt engine leaks around hydraulic pump

I recently rebuilt the engine in my 801 ford. Got everything bolted back up to the point where I can start it. I do not have the hydraulic pump bolted on. I started the tractor and brought it up to temperature. I noticed I was leaking oil around where the hydraulic pump bolts on. Would this be normal? I am hoping that it is and that is how the pump gear is lubricated. If this is the case is there a gasket between the block and the hydraulic pump? Thanks,

Yes, thre is a gasket between the hydraulic pump and the motor block (where the gear is located).

Yes, they tend to leak a bit. The gasket helps. Cheap...
