1953 TO-30 Carburetor Problem

Have removed, detail-cleaned, blown out, and re-installed the carburetor, but air screw is set almost closed to obtain any idle, and that is at only about 400rpm. ANY movement of screw more than that and tractor dies. Thinking possibly wrong venturi, idle jet, etc. was installed (it's very apparently a rebuilt carburetor).
Label carries three different P/N's.

Need specifics on which venturi, jet, should be installed, and source to obtain them.

Thanks in advance!

I don"t have the dimensions but here are the Ferguson part numbers for the venturi and the idle jet for the TSX 458 that is the OEM carb for most of the TO-30 series (some of the late TO-30"s use the Carter carb).

Venturi - 1 751 211 M1

Idle jet - 15 469A

There is no sepparate jet for the power jet for the TSX 458. The Main Nozzle is P/N 1 751 334 M1.

I"d try an AGCO dealer for parts. If not do a google search for TSX 458 carb, etc . I believe the www.carburetorshop.com might also be of some help.

Thanks for the reply, and my apologies for leaving out the carburetor information. It's a MS TSX for sure, but the tag carries 458 and three other numbers. When I looked each number up individually, they all showed quite different applications and rebuild kits - very frustrating.

I've located two AGCO dealers close to me!
