Ferguson Rear grater blade - any good?

I have never seen a rear blade like this before.

The center is a tube/bullet shape.

There is a lever in the front that will pull a pin and allow rotation.
The top center section has a crank to adjust the blade. I guess this is more adjustment then the center link will provide.

I have seen similar photos showing this rear blade with a rear wheel. This one has no rear wheel.

i offered the guy $150.
He wants $350. I don't think it is worth that much. (he says cause it is heavy duty)

Sounds like an orgional Ferguson Blade. Better built than anything made today. If he knows what hes got he will not come dow to your price.

New light duty 5' blades at TSC run you $299.99
THe 6' is $350.00 and the 7 foot is $370.00.

What he's asking is probally not too far off.

Certainly sounds like an original Ferguson blade? If so, it should have a brass ID plate attached with "Harry Ferguson Limted" or "Harry Ferguson Inc", the implement model number and a serial number.

If it is an original Ferguson blade, $150 would be a steal!

I wouldnt have a problem paying 300 for it , if it does break it has enough metal on it weld it back , we had one on the farm my brother ,dad,, I all ploughed driveway scrapped driveways for years , I hace to admit we beat the crap out of it, it was made to last.

It is a Multi-purpose Grader blade. Some have a wheel on the rear and there was a heavy rake used to loosen the ground before you levelled it. You need a screw top link as that is used to adjust how deep it goes in conjunction with the Hydraulic Lever. You need to set the blade so that when it is in the ground it is pushing at the top link and the tractor can control the depth, if you don't do this the blade will not control.
