Gasket Sealer

Have a TEA20 and am installing Sure Seals onto the rear axles to cure some minor oil leakage. I have ordered new gasket for each side, but am wondering whether gasket sealer is required.

I cleaned the axle flange surface and they appear to be smooth with no nicks or pits in them.

Will I be fine with the one shim, gasket and backing plate, or add the sealer?

Unless there are nicks or uneven surfaces, I tend not to use it.

I use Hylomar blue spray on all gaskets. Best you can get.

gasket sealer is not required. It can actually be quite difficult to try
to use sealer with the shims and gasket and getting everything
glued-up, lined-up, and together.
