Hood tilt...hinge

Well I just got my 51 tea20 delivered to me yesterday, and the guy that mounted the loader on it for me [b:908c73bc70]NEVER TOLD [/b:908c73bc70]me that the hood wont tilt all the way now! Does anybody know of a way to change the tilt or hood ? I was thinking that maybe I can change it so it tilts from the top of the grill instead of the bottom of the grill? I need to do something ,as it is now I can't ad gas or check the rad level cause the hood hits the mount for the hyd fluid tank. This photo is from before I got the tractor & is with the hood off,if anyone wants a different view to help with this I can take a pic for you.
Thanks...Bill

don't panic! Just grab the cutting torch and punch a hole for the gas cap. ONLY KIDDING.
What you have to do is separate the hood. Leave the doglegs/sides and grille bolted together and attach that via the tilt bolts and cobble up some brackets to hold the hood sides to the dash. Then put a piano hinge on one side and make it a side opening hood. Been done many times. And so has the first solution I described!

Save your hood and buy one of the hoods that has access holes cut for the gas and water. There are many out there like that and very little demand so you can probally get one real cheap $10-$20.

That's just as cheap as piano hinges. And you save a good hood for a restoration project.
