Cold engine getting closer to problem

Thanks for all you help so far I do have an update, it was 40 degrees today and I can crank the engine over to a certian point. It cranks for about a second or 2 then stops at the same point every time. I then can maunually with the cresent wrench turn the engine past that point and repeat this process. When I pull the head off what should I be looking for. And remember as it warms up the engine turns over easier. My radiator was flushed many times last year and has all radiatorfluid in it. I can say that weather temp has a factor in this. And every time I go to start the tractor I put the clutch in. I have eleminated intake air and outgoing by takeing the airfilter hose off and removing the muffler. I belive this to be an engine stroke problem.

sounds like your getting closer being it ran during warm weather i would pull it in to a garage get it good and warm and see if it will crank past that spot just having it sit out in the cold should not have bent anything i wish you good luck hope someothers with more internal nohow can give you sound advice it was in the 40s here today i am pulling up some stumps with my TO-20 trying to get a field here cleared and ready for planting.
