Ferguson Front Snowplow

Did ferguson make a front mounted snowplow that would lift via cables & sheaves using the 3 point hitch similar to that manufactured by Arps & Dearborn? Thanks,

Steve

There is nothing shown in a book I have that lists most of the old implements. There was a front earth blade made in the UK,it was lifted by steel rods from the link arms....John

There is a video somewhere on this site(Yesterday's Tractors) of a guy pushing snow with a Ford 8-N and a Dearborn 19-2 blade. I was looking for one also, I missed my chance of getting one close to where I live(it was by Lincoln, NE)last summer. It needed the mounting brackets. I think that any one you find will be without mounting brackets because the rear ones might have had to be bolted thru the rear fenders and axle and people wouldn't bother to unbolt them when they sold them. I saw another one advertised this past year from California...same story, no mounting brackets. If I find that video on this site, I'll attach it in another message.

A couple of neighbors had them on their TO 30 tractors and were painted grey same as the tractors and were the same as the blade Dad bought from the Ford tractor dealer that was red. It had been used by the dealer for one year to plow the sidewalks of downtown Wapakoneta, Oh and was pretty beat when Dad bought it but it is still in use. Never had a tag that I know of. Bought it in early 50's and was the correct length for a 9-2-8N or TO 30 but frame was too short for a Ford NAA as you could not angle the blade the full distance as it would hit the front tires. We have had it on a 2N, TO30 and a NAA

I just got a ferguson front snow plow that came off of a to 20 not quite the same as a dearbourn but looks to be heavy enough has a fergy plate attached to the blade.will try to decipher nombers Rust and paint covered. Bruce

My father got one for the old TO 20 back in 1971 and it is made by Blackhawk. It also lifts off the 3pt hitch with 5/8 steel cables. Works well as long as the snow less then 8" in depth.
