Just asking if a TO-30 engine will fit in a TO-20 tractor or just the opposite?

Yes, the TO20 Z120 engine and TO30 Z129 engine are interchangeable except that the generator mounting method is different between them. The Z120 engine doesn't have the drilled bosses for the Z129 generator bracket to bolt to. If you are putting a Z129 engine into A TO20, you can still mount your TO20 generator, just remove the spacer between the front of the engine and the axle carrier and replace with the generator bracket.

Make sure the TO30 engine is not leaking coolant into the oil, many have liner sealing problems.

My family has one bought new, and repaired a few times, then I've seen other 30s on Craigslist. I found a 35 engine to try on our 30 this next spring.
