What Is This Long Lever On A To-30?

I just purchased this tractor for parts to fix another TO-30. I noticed this extra lever by the PTO
lever. I have never seen that on a Ferguson. Maybe I shouldn't part it out, it hasn't run for twenty
years, but the engine is not tight. I hope the pictures work.

Please remove the corresponding cover on the other side and take some pictues....

That lever disengages the pinion shaft to give the tractor kinda-sorta live pto. One of our neighbors had one, believe it was a Sherman add-on. They don't appear to be common.

Sherman Live PTO option is on the rare side. Bigger question being, does it work?
Live hydraulics can also be accomplished with an external pump and plumbed to the rear end. I could add that to her Ferguson for another handle to play with. She already has the additional Howard and Hupp handles and if I ever get caught up the everett handle. Another one would just add to this toy.

As others have said Sherman live PTO. Big question is does it work. They made a manual one and one that ran off hydraulic pump. I guessing yours is manual. You should be able to engage the PTO and move the Sherman lever to see if it will disengage.
