The original subject was ZENITH 24T2 CARBURETTOR SETTINGS.
I too had relied on the old standard for low speed and high speed screw settings only to have poor running results. So I bought the Ferguson tractor manual and to my amazement was taught how wrong a guy could be. The manual says for a Zeneth 24T carb main jet is open 3 1/2 turns from closed and the idle screw is turned in until motor thrums, pulses rpm up then coasts then rpm up and coasting then back screw out slowly until smooth running. I did this for all 3 of my tractors and never have I ever had them run so good. They start great idle great run smooth when letting the clutch out onto load. Try these settings you will be amazed
