TEA-20 Wont start - no spark after splitting

So I recently split my TEA-20 in half to rectify a leaking
gearbox seal and loose thrust bearing, but when I put it
back together it wouldnt start. I have found that it isnt
getting spark, but I have no idea why. I wired it back up
exactly how it was when I took it apart, and it did run
before I split the tractor. What could be wrong?

See if your getting power to your points.. I use a small test light. If not it could be your ground. It almost sounds like you forgot to hook up a wire or hooked it up wrong. If you do have power to your coil and points then it s a matter of cleaning points or changing condenser.

Ground, ground, ground. Did I mention checking your grounding. Ive split and rebuild quite a few of these and the most common electrical
issue I have had was the ground wire was either really old and needed replacing or the grounding area was covered by paint, rust, oil etc.

So, if everything had worked before look and the grounding.
