Newest tractor

I recently purchased a 1948 TO20 from an older lady. It was her fathers and he got it back in the middle 50s. She told me stories of her plowing the driveway when she was young and how her dad used it to farm the 20 acre field that they owned. ..it was sort of sad. I asked if shed rather fix it up and keep it but she wanted the room in her barn. Ive already ordered a 12 volt system, pto seal and gasket and an updraft exhaust. I have the carb dissembled and soaking in my chem dip. I noticed the carb has a tad bit of pay in the throttle shaft, so a bushing will be installed. The tractor came with an vintage aftermarket adjustable seat,a 7ft grader/ snow blade, two bottom plow and a 6ft disc. This is my next project.. wish me luck!

An early TO - very cool! I'd be interested in learning more about that seat. I need a new one for my Ferguson and I like the looks of the one you have there.

I dont know much about it, as far as the previous owner new it was on the tractor when her Dad purchased it. I wonder if that was a dealer option maybe? I cleaned the entire fuel system today, reassembled the carb and re-installed it. Ill be picking up the battery tomorrow, Im waiting for my 12 volt system to arrive.. then hopefully I can hear it run.

I HAVE A SIMULAR SEAT THAT I TOOK OFF OF A 30 WHEN I RESTORED IT BACK TO ORIGINAL IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO CONTACT ME I CAN SEND PHOTOS

I'm in Alberta so shipping costs would be a killer but I would like to see what you've got.

That looks like the workings of a Float Ride on a Minneapolis Moline.

I remember that seat on a lot of 30 Ferguson when I was a kid.
Dont know if factory or dealer. I always thought it was factory
since most had it. Like a deluxe model.

I'd be interested in the knee knocker short man's seat if you want to swap it out depending on your location.
