Carburetor linkage rod busted on my TO30

I need recommendations on where to get the rod that goes from my carburetor to the governor. Mine was seized up. I soaked the rusted end in kroil oil for two days, it was still stuck fast. Then I heated up the turnbuckle and attempted to turn it after getting it hot. It broke! Im in the middle of getting this to30 running, I had my carb soaking overnight now Im going to have to wait to find a rod with a turnbuckle on it, to see if my carb cleaning was successful.

Carb to governor rod.
Made from Unobtanium for the land of Obsoleteum.
I have considered getting some of those fabbed up.
For the need of a horse, the kingdom was lost.
I understand.

no but fakebook marketplace has one possibly. I contacted t he guy and he gave me his number. Ill call him tomorrow. Bruce, you should for sure fab some of those up.. Id buy a couple just to have them.

McMaster Carr has the clevis end.

The rod can be made from a piece of round stock.

Be sure to get the length in range, it is critical.

I think it's 1/4 28, but I'm working from memory.

Best compare it to your old one, take some measurements.

Not sure how much of a purist you are, but I've been replacing the carb/governor rods on my Fergusons with ball joints. Use the same McMaster-Carr link and search 'oil-embedded ball joint linkages' - you want (2) 1/4"-28 female right hand thread. That and manufacture a 9-3/8" length of 1/4" steel rod with 1.25" of threads on each end, a couple of jam nuts, and you are in business. I do shorten the stud (bench grinder) that bolts to the carburetor bell crank to keep the installation clean, but you wouldn't have to.

The wear points at the governor lever, clevis end, throttle bell crank/rod end get sloppy after 70 years and the governor does not work as well as it might. The difference with this slop eliminated is immediately evident.

Frankly, better and a lot easier than reproducing an original with the way it attaches to the carburetor...
