Replacing TO20 starter

tractor was converted to 12 volt, starter went bad, was told to get 12 volt Wilson rebuilt starter and cannot get it mounted.I have
removed distributor,coil to no avail.and bendix looks different. Overall length starter is about 1/4longer than original.looking
for suggestions

What wilson number do you have.

Any thoughts on having yours rebuilt? Check with local automotive store for rebuild service.

besides a few choice words being said I did get it mounted

Glad you got it together.
I have worked my TO20 Delco starter a few time and it is close with distributor in place but it comes out and goes in.
