Currently had a 'empty' spot in my garage. (joking). Been noticing this TO30 sitting outside for a few months.
Stopped in and chatted with the owner, for the 2nd time, More serious this time. He had the same offer, I said 'with delivery'
OK! So in 1 hour it was rolled off the trailer, right into my garage. I've a couple in the past. I like Fergies.

Most of my current little projects are being thrown onto the back burner once again. right now I have about 8 inches of snow to deal with and an 02/94 7.3 idiT CC Dually F350 getting a drive train upgrade. Not to mention the 20 year old house heater has dropped a heating coil or a relay. Parts on order for that and should be here in another 9 days or less.
Hope you have fun with yours.

I got started down the road ... last spring refurbished the old TO-35 we used on the farm when I was growing up. Locked trans. Fixed that, replaced the whole electrical system plus upgraded to 12v, and gave it a farm-painting (not showroom parade level) just to keep it living longer and not frighten the neighbors (subdivisions around and a few with lawn-hobbies).

While searching for some parts .. I found a guy selling two TO35s and a TO35 engine. So I got those running (one is hooked to a snow plow at the moment and will get some exercise in a half hour for about three houses of driveways). The 'third' Ferguson is up for sale this fall with some interest but no cash yet. It will go back up this spring when people are dreaming of spring and summer projects. The extra engine will attempt to retrofit a TO30 my brother has that leaks coolant into the oil. I'm hoping it's a bolt-on mostly easy job to match up, but we'll see. Might just have a spare motor and a still broken tractor.

Coolant in the oil seems to be a common problem with the TO30s. If you rebuild the engine on yours, the piston liner seat at the bottom to the casting tends to drag debris down then leak when rebuilt. Or the block can freeze and crack. There is a great video by Bundy Bears channel on youtube where he puts new liners in a Ferguson engine and goes into this issue. It's a great channel anyway because he covers so many MF things... I used his help there getting the stuck trans in the family Ferguson rebuilt because he showed the tricks involved.

Make sure to replace shifter boots and drain that trans oil ;)

Anticipating the sales of the third Ferguson ... I bought an AC WD as a spring tractor project to mess around with. We had one when I was a kid, though I found a wide-front version as the tricycle style we had was always a concern. The AC does need a three point! So that's one of the first jobs on it (this one mostly runs already).

The TO35 (Z-134) engine is not a "bolt-on mostly easy job" to a TO30 (Z-129 engine). While 'nothing is impossible', this will require unreasonable effort.

Best is to fix or replace with like the engine in the TO30

It ran when parked !!! Due to Mich weather, I chose to have it trailored the 8 miles to my place. Instead of buying
a battery and adding fuel, etc. So one of these days, I will see what I have...I think the rear end lube is all leaked out !
The wiring looks messy. 12v volt conversion but also has external solenoid & start switch. I don't like that kind of repair
on Fergies !! I perfer the shift lever start...
