TEA 20 Half Tracks

I have installed Bombardier half tracks on my restored TEA 20 but for some reason they keep riding off the tires. I read somwewhere that the rear tires need to be turned around (opposite direction to normal) when using half tracks. Does anyone with experience have any info on this issue?

thanks,

Kirk

I ran a set for several years on a 8n Ford and never reversed the tires or had an issue with them wanting to come off. Are your tire lugs worn down? The front idler wheels need to be centered on the rear wheel centerline or else they can lead the tracks off, and there has to be adequate tension on the tracks so they dont wander across the face of the tires.

Ive been running a set for over 10 years now, had similar issues. Make sure your tension is tight enough on the tracks, your idler tire is inflated properly and you should be okay.

Make sure the spring tension is good and also the track tension. When you lift the idler up the track should tighten quite rapidly if not thats when you will drive out of the track. Been there done all of that.

I enjoyed your pics of half-tracks. Thank you for sharing.

Is there a current source for these, or are they all vintage?

Thanks
