so, assuming anybody replies befor tomorrow morning, i've got a TO-30 that i want to pick up a spare pump forand it seems to me at least ! of the fords would interchange but i don't remember which N it was
anybody know? or am i full of it?

.

Similar but not the same from quick image searches of both.

You can buy a hydraulic rebuild kit. I'd start there.

A few youtube videos on the 'Gingell' youtube channel, I think they rebuild both. You also might check the 'bundy bears' channel.

well, i had a repair shop fix it already so i'd kinda like to start over and do it myself.it went from working great to nothing,he worked on it and now it just barely works (jerky when raising and slow as hell)

The TO20 will interchange with 9n/2n. With the TO30 I kind of remember you have to file something a bit to get it it. Can't remember if it was ferguson going into a ford so you might not need to shave off anything going from ford to ferguson.

Oh boy.
The 2N and the 9N use the TO-20 pump as well as the TO-30.
As has been said, you might need a slight mod to fit the '30 pump.
The 8N came about when Henry's grandson decided to undo the handshake agreement.
The 8N can work in the Fery or older Fords when you not only change the pump but the top cover as well.
That would give position control easily enough.

One of these days the wife's TO-20 will get the 8N hydraulics just to annoy folks.
