Just got my first TEA20, it's a '48 and came with a 730 loader fitted. Pretty good condition and fully working. Can't find out any info on it. Previous owner seemed to think it was not as popular as the 735 because you have to climb over the back to get in and as a consequence is rarer. Certainly seems as to be as all I can find is a small image of the sales brochure on a locked Facebook site.

Any info at all would be appreciated!

I have a 735 loader , when looking for information about it I did come across some on the 730 . I will look for it in the next few days .
From memory they were originally designed for a French built Ferguson with inboard brakes .
I wouldn't lament not having a 735 , even fitted to the heavier more powerful FE35 with a much higher capacity hydraulic pump they are still as slow as a wet week .

Hi Charles, that's interesting, maybe that explains why it fits so tightly to the body, no room for a vertical stack or lights. It seems to work pretty fast to me at least but I guess it was all relative to a bloke with a pitchfork back in the day.

I'll probably hang on to it as it does make a handy lift but as most of my use will be on grass it's a bit unwieldy and adds a lot of weight. Not to mention having to climb in over the back.

The cylinders on the 730 are smaller than on the 735 so the pump can fill them faster , probably why you are happy with the speed of action .
The 730 is really a Banana loader built with tube instead of a pressed metal boom and a few different brackets . A guide to the Ferguson ' Banana ' loader will probably help . I can't recall the proper model designation but they are known universally as the banana .

I looked for the file on the 730 but I may have discarded it . From memory the information was on a Danish site but that was some years ago .

Does your loader resemble this machine in any way.??

Excuse the corny photo but this is what I have.
Does seem very similar to the banana. Bottom bracket the same but the rear one is tubular again. Bucket looks the same.

Easier and cheaper to produce it in pressed form I guess.

The 735 is similar but longer in the boom and simpler in construction .
This is the best photo of mine I have to hand .

It is a powerful loader with a long reach and lift but is slow and has no down force . Useless without a counterweight and dangerous as well without care .
The loader JDeere posts is one made after " Teaspoon loader " and before the Banana it had increased capacity by using two side mounted cylinders rather than a single fitted under the engine .
The boom of the banana was so complex and expensive to produce that tube was reintroduced for the 730 and 735 versions .

Ah it was a file size thing, excuse cheesey pose insisted on by the Missus. This is the 730 I have (removed it now as a bit cumbersome for mowing!).

So the 730 was after the Banana, what dates are we talking?

735 was introduced as an implement to complement the FE35 1n 1956 . 730 a year or two earlier about 1954 , Banana either 1949 / 51.
