After my tractor is warmed up I have a problem getting it to restart. I put new spark plugs and put a new coil in it. Any ideas?

Sometimes a dragging starter will do that.

The bushings are worn to the point the armature drags inside the field windings.

So will too small battery cables, they need to be size 0 or 00 if it's still 6 volt. Automotive
cables won't work.

When it's warm and acting up, feel the coil. It should not be any hotter than it's surroundings. If
it's too hot to hold, it is failing. It could also have the wrong coil if it has been replaced. Check the ignition system over in general, should have a 1/4 inch spark to ground at the plug end of each wire. Check the points gap and condition, check the distributor shaft for side play. If you have an old condenser, try it.

I have an idea that you got the troubleshoot and replace parts in the reverse order. First troubleshoot. Find out what is wrong, then replace the parts needed to correct the problem.

It takes better spark to start a warm engine than a cold engine. Check that your spark can jump at least 1/4 inch when cold, then again when warm. You may just need new ignition points or maybe just the timing adjusted.
