+ to ground

Ok 64$ question have two TO 20 tractors both converted to 12 volt i have switched starters many times back & forth. Question 1 is neg. ground the other pos. what do i need to do to change from pos. ground to neg.

When changing to - ground one needs to switch the 2 small wires on the coil and on the amp gauge switch the wires on it side to side and your good to go. Starter work the same either way.

hank going to change to elect ign. neg. ground are harder to come buy & more money

My self I would never change to electronic ignition. I have tractor with points that start when I want them to and I have not changed any points in over 10 years on any of them and I have way to many tractors

Assuming both have alternators, the one that is positive ground must have a positive ground alternator. So that won't work. If a generator / voltage regulator is involved, you will have to polarize.
