12V conversion starter question

thanks, i now know. kind of a stupid question but as i've never had to do it on a positive ground deal, i though i'd better ask before i hosed up a starter drive

If you want the engine to run backwards, rewire the starter to reverse rotation when engaged and change the cam.
Engine will then run backwards.
Good on Marine applications with twin engines.

NO, it won't, starter drive will simply "overrun" and won't engage or crank the engine.
