Busted lift cylinder TO35

My lift cylinder on my TO35 is broken . I'm having a hard time finding one in stock anywhere. Does anybody know if I can use a different 2.5" cylinder on this tractor ? Part # 180967M1 serial number on tractor is 164879.

And while we are on the topic, is there
such a thing as updated lift pistons that
use o rings and backers like modern
hydraulics instead of stock original steel
split piston rings?

I am sure I was told about them years ago
but have not ever found them

See parts as per this forum.. "YT"..

The next 2 1/2 Diam piston cylinder bore I work on shall receive one of these.....
Bob..

I have. The only thing I can find is
people who have donor tractors that wanna
selle a used one and it usually takes
them a week and then I find out it's no
good anyway. I'm a a machinist, I think
I'm just gonna make one.

I am not allowed to attach a link because it goes to a competitor. Put this number - UM70782 - into google search and check out the first hit.

Thank you. I looked at it and it
doesn't have the mounting holes all the
way through like mine and I'm not sure if
it has the side holes to mount the lever
controls too like mine . I called them
though and they're gonna calle back. It
does say it is a replacement for the part
I'm looking for though so hopefully it'll
work. I'm a machinist Soni can modify if
need be.....I'd just rather not start
from scratch.

Called them. They said the photo was
just a generic picture and they don't
have any in stock and it's not showing
until October . This part is very
elusive

The steiner one is not for a 35, it has different mounts.

I put in a new pump in my '55 last year, kept the old lower pressure relief but went to a 3" piston and cylinder due to the parts issues.

So Im guessing the 3 bolted right on the cover with new studs? Was there anything else that you need to do to make it work in place of the 2 1/2 cylinder?
