Machine Shop Work

I am wanting to take the crankshaft for my to30 to machine shop to have it ground and also need to have the rod bushings put in and reamed. I haven't found a shop yet but was wondering, will I need to provide anything other than the crankshaft, rods, bushings and pins. Will they know what specs to grind the shaft to or will I need to provide specs?

You might want to check this site for parts. I have priced a locally turned crank versus having one shipped in and I have found on occasion that a box one is less money and sometimes faster.

They should have the specs if they are interested in grinding it. So many shops now only want to do the new stuff, not interested in having to do research. If you have the specs, wouldn't hurt to give them the numbers just for comparison.

I would take them the new piston pins so they can measure them. The tolerances on wrist pin bushings is really close.
