Gaskets on axle shaft

Installing new rear brakes, seals, and bearings on te20. Shouldn't there be gasket, shim, gasket, then axle housing in that order inside to outside? I don't think the previous owner knew what they were doing when this was torn apart who knows when. Thanks for any help with this! Bill

Thanks again John Deere D, you have been a great help. Where does one get a parts Manuel like you have in the pics you sent. I take it you are a John Deere guy. My dad had a couple of them a R, and 80. He sold them on his auction in 2005. He did keep his 1918 Rumley 20-40 model G and that is at my place now. I appreciate your help and quick response. Thanks Bill

Your welcome "Billt"
When I was five years of age my legs were to short to operate the clutch and brake pedals of my parents 8-N..
My Father attached wood blocks...........suddenly I had 4" longer legs.....LOL

The first Tractor I ever was able to operate with out WOOD BLOCKS was the Neighbors John Deere "D"...I was six years of age...

In 2003 I purchased the above mentioned John Deere "D"....my legs are now proportional to my overall 6' height...LOL

Tractors of all and any colour ...there all interesting...
I happen to own a TEA-20 Ferguson,(also three parts TEA-20's) as well as other Tractors.......
On the internet I entered..... Ferguson PARTS BOOK 693 041 M2

I purchased the TWO Parts Books that were on e-bay..

The blue HARRY FERGUSON SERVICE MANUAL...........
I entered....... ORIGINAL HARRY FERGUSON SERVICE MANUAL on the internet and one showed up on a buy and sell called KIJIJI......

The same manual was also on e-bay on the Australian e-bay.......
