Did Kelsey Hayes Make Ford Wheels For Ferguson?

Morning,
I know they interchange. What prompted me to make this post was my red 8N wheels. Fronts are Ford KH script but under the layers of inferior flaky grey and orange paint the wheels have what looks like a superior quality factory red. Under the red is metal.
Thank's, Chris

ow can you tell the difference between original Ferguson 6 loop wheels and aftermarket?

After the Ford-Ferguson split Harry Ferguson made an agreement with Goodyear they supplied all wheels and tires for all Fergusons. My To35 wheels say made by Goodyear- January 1/ 1955.

hank's, how do you tell about the rears?

Ford Tractor nor Ferguson ever painted rear wheel red. Yours are the 6-Loop Aftermarket Style that someone previously splashed red paint over. What's a 'superior quality factory'??? Ferguson rims used scalloped center discs to avoid copyright laws for stealing the Ford design. My OEM FORD 28 x 9 Hat Rims, restored with the FORD & Kelsey-Hayes logos stamped inside:

At some point someone went through the trouble of taking the original grey off the wheels before painting them red. The red reminded me of the Massey's we ran. They did a good prep job getting it to stick. With a few exceptions I could usually spot an automobile or piece of equipment with a respray that came through the shop. You experienced hands probably recognized I am a rookie to antique tractors. Thank's for the information.

I am asking for some follow up here. The loop rims were on this 1948 photo. This is the rim I was asking about, hence the reason I posted this on the Massey forum. Did Massey have these 6 loop rims original or did these guys swap rims on a new tractor? They appear to be the same, were there different weld techniques used between aftermarket and Massey?
