Ferguson tea20 serial number locations

Hi, I'm new to this board and tractors in general. I just purchased what appears to be a 1952 tea20 with a couple implements. The serial number below the steering wheelhas been scratched or rubbed and is not readable. Are ther other locations on these tractors where the serial number would also be stamped?

It has a 4 speed transmission. 12volt.
I’d really like to figure out how to get serial # to identify it. Is it possible the only location is a soft metal attachment ?
Tks.

An approximate date is cast into the transmission next to the dip stick on the rhs of the tractor behind the seat .
It will give you the day , month and year of the 1950s it was cast . It isn't a serial number but will give an indication of when it left the production line , usually a week or two after that date . If you have the serial plate very very carefully remove it , the rivets are spiraled and must be twisted to be able to be pulled out . Sometimes you can read the numbers from the back in reverse as they were punched in by hand . Otherwise take it to a weld x ray tester , they can x ray it to show up the number really clearly , usually for a case of beer .

Thank you for that advice Charles. I will carefully remove the damaged plate. It is useless as is anyway

All plates were pre printed with the prefix of the tractor fuel type before the serial number itself . A petrol only tractor's serial will start with TEA , a kerosene /petrol with TED and a Diesel with TEF .
Other date numbers can be found on underside of the coil , side of the dynamo , on the engine block behind the dynamo and sometimes on the radiator plate , assuming they are still original.
