Like your truck engine is, this engine is also a wet sleeve operation. Once you open it up, you should see a bunch of broken, cracked support webs. It is also possible that the "O" rings at the bottom of the sleeves are also possibly leaking. Anyway you slice it, you have an engine R&R coming up. KN (?) Block seal can also be your friend. Once you put a 'stat in it, drill a 1/16" air bleed hole in the flat side to allow air to bleed off during initial running. That bleed hole also helps to diminish temp spikes as the 'stat opens and closes during engine operation in the future. If you have a clean record with your Class "A" CDL, Walmart is hiring at about $90K a year. Weekends off. My Class "B" does not desire to play. I am done. 3000GT, is that the Mitsubishi?

Yes Mitsubishi 3000gt..big fan haha..currently have 2 but ive had over 10..i know Walmart is hiring and good pay but not for me..i was doing local work but went back over the road.

As far as the plate goes its missing. But she does have the screen oiled air intake or whatever the correct word is. Id just like to know what year for sure.

I don't recall which cylinders were at 0 psi I just remember it was 0. I want to say its the last 2 towards the driver's seat. Ill get the manual so I can properly name everything haha

3000GT is a decent looking car, just needs a bigger engine. I frustrated an owner of a 3000GT once upon a time with my 4.0 Jeep. Oops. The screen on the dash is typical of the TO-30. I believe you also should have an external oil filter. That TO-30 does have a decent amount of grunt power and can be fun to play with. My wife has a TO-20 that I am going to switch over to 8N hydraulics with built in position control. I do believe the TO-20 and 30 share the same hydraulics so the same change over could be done on your machine as well. You just need to trade a GT for an 8N parts machine...
Yep. You have a tear down coming. This site sells engine kits cheap enough. I did the wife's TO-20 about 77 hours ago. I also installed an electric hour meter along with a few other toys.
OTR has it's rewards and in town driving can be a very large PITA. Don't blame you too much.
Catch you later!!

I love my 3000gt. She's in her natural habit on Jack stands for 3 years now haha. Very expensive to get running perfect. The 3000gt sl model is slow but the vr4 is decent. Im thinking of buying a modified one from my friend but strictly track only car. I did just buy a used audi a8 as well. Quick but heavy. I got some parts already from this site but I will buy more soon..im leaving Monday again so no point in doing it now. Yes it has external oil filter.

Audi. Every engine has a turbo or maybe two. Without the turbo, they might be as fast as a Volvo. Volvo going all electric next year.
I might go electric. When it is voice activated self driving and can take itself to the shop for repair work. No? That day is not too far off. California going to all electric big rigs in 2050? Good luck with that. Audi A8 is not a bad looking machine and they have some very nice looking and running machines out there. I seem to remember back in the day when Audi gave out free maintenance for a few years, then folded shop and went back home. Now they have come back again and hopefully stay around for some time. Time to get going. Sun is about up this morning and as the man said, "Your burning daylight." Catch you later, stay safe on the road.
