I'm looking for a governor rod that threads into the spring compensator. I cannot locate anything locally.

The vertical rod in the pic is what I'm looking for.

you need a few more posts before the forum will let you post pictures - what you are asking for comes and goes on eBay, right now I don't see any - perhaps someone here may have a spare they would part with -

Not everyone has the same manual and I am too lazy to pull mine out.
There is a posting below that links to a manual pic.
Item 15 being the long rod.
Is *that* what your after?

These old tractors are fun. I remember a broken gear inside a Hupp trans. That gear being about 2 inches in diameter, 1 inch center hole,
3/4 inch tall with two internal notches to line up on the main shaft. No longer in production so I went to two gear shops looking to get
one made. First shop told me $650. I was in total shock. Stunned silence. I stammered out "Thank you" and departed. I got to the second
shop and having recovered, I was told $450. We had fun laughing about it due to the simplicity of the design and I even asked if that came
'Gold Plated". No, it was the set up time taken to make one gear. I could get them cheaper by the dozen though and I politely said that was
not going to happen. I now have a few Hupp parts out there somewhere in a box.

So, looking at the pic in the link below, what are you after? The long horizontal rod, #15?

Going down into the spring? Or across at the top? I suspect you already found one. Did you?

The vertical rod going down into the spring is what I'm looking for. thanks for the pic. Mine was destroyed and U threaded a steel rod with the two different pitches, but I'm not exactly sure if the length is correct.
