Hello:I have a 1953 Ferguson TO30 and have a question about the front of it. It looks like it has a set of brackets on both sides but I'm not sure what they are used for. Can you give me any information about them?Thank you,Bill Malona

A set of brackets I wouldn't mind having.
They were used in conjunction with a sickle mower. There was a bar that was suspended from those brackets and would swing out in front of the
sickle mower in order to flush game out of the field before it was hacked in the sickle bar.
I have a need of those due to a 'someone' who does not consider offset implements when maneuvering near objects.

Thank you for the quick reply. I am new to antique farming equipment and from what I have researched, mine is in great shape for its age and usage. I plan on using this forum to help get it looking good again. It already starts right up every time and runs great, although very rich. My wife has adopted it and is very protective. All I have done so far is replaced the 6volt battery and the ammeter and temp gauges. Probably needs new hoses, thermostat, and a radiator flush, resolder. Oh and oil, and filters cleaned up. Looking forward to it! Bill

Please help me to not post sideways photos!
What kind of computer do you use?
If it runs Windoze, I suggest Irfanview for photo manipulation.

The brackets are for a Ferguson manure loader from what I can see in the picture. The loader attches only to front axle. Had the loader minus those brackets till a year ago.
