EarlyT035 - Belleville Clutch Interchangable with new style?

Hello,

My tractor is an early T035 1955 serial 159714

The main clutch is working fine.
My PTO clutch is dead and won't engage, well only when the engine is stopped. I have found some rivets in the inspection plate.

Looking at the parts diagram my early 1955 would need a Belleville clutch assembly 182463M93, the assembly is available in Canada but the price is close to $1000 Canadian.

The later style clutch kits are less than $400.

[b:1c6e84c853]My question is are they interchangeable, can I fit the newer clutch model on the 1955?[/b:1c6e84c853]

I do see in this post https://forums.yesterdaystractors.c...&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0

PTfarmer says "Most swap the clutch out to the later style clutch"

It's been a while since I took apart my 1955 TO35, but I'm pretty sure the flywheel is different between the early and later clutches. If so, you need to find a later style flywheel to convert.

I haven't taken it apart yet but from my research you are right I see 2 types of flywheels on 35 tractors.
I got pictures from the internet.
