need loader for to-20

Can anyone tell me what loader model or brands will work on a Ferguson TO-20. Where do I find a used one? Are there models that fit other tractors, such as ford 8n/9n that will also work on the TO-20?

Interesting post... subscribed.

I have *most* of a manure bucket loader but not the mounting frame. Either I fabricate a frame and use it, or provide it to someone else and get a pond scoop.

I love my pond scoop - when I first got it, I tried digging and thought it was too slow; so I got out a shovel and the wheelbarrow..... that'll give you some perspective! Went right back to the tractor and slipscoop, drive to the woods, back into the highspot I'm digging out, lift, drive to the yard, dump, repeat.

The only thing I think a loader would be better for is lifting dirt into the wife's raised garden. The scoop will dig - everyone with a loader tells me they work well scooping loose piles of material, but they won't break ground easily.

If it's my money I'd spend it on the pond scoop $225 or so to dig versus $2000+ to simply be able to lift loose dirt.

Now, if you're like me you'd try building your own loader just because......

Ford 8,2 and 8N are the same as the fergy 20 and 30 series.
FE Loaders are hard on the center pin and major stress on the axle arms. I once bought a 9N with FEL. Complete with 4 stress cracks on the center arm and one fatal crack. Wife"s TO-20 has back side diamond plate reinforced front axle center, for the FEL that might go on it.
Prices for such range from about $300 up to $1,000 locally.
Next challenge is either the front pump hook up or run it off the rear. How about remote hydraulics?

I have a loader for a to-30. Its one of the light weight pipe loaders from that era. It came with my to-30 and I never put it on nor do I plan to. I am in Oklahoma. One of the cylinders will need to be rebuilt (& rechromed).

I have a to35 with a 19-97 ford fel with the front pump. It had 12/2/28 rears and a super heavy 6ft. scrape and still it was worthless, had to trade out the rears for filled tires to get traction plus find a ps unit so I could steer it. lots of trouble but I do suppose the 19-97 ford fel would fit the 20 but without power steering I wouldn't have it and don't believe you will find a ps unit for a 20.I'd trade up to something with shuttle shift that already has ps.
