FE35 bleeding diesel

I have a 3 cylinder Perkins FE35 and I?m continually having to bleed the system.
It runs for 15 min then bleed it then runs for ten sec then bleed then run for ten sec. Then I leave it alone.
Next day it repeats.
I replaced the bowl and lift pump as the manual pump lever was broken and it looked like diesel was seeping out around the bowl.
No difference.
The bottom bleed valve of the injector pump gets a lot of air bubbles and number one cylinder injector takes a few seconds before diesel comes out.
I think the filters need changing.
Hopefully it is not the injector pump

Any ideas?

Look for air leaks between the lift pump and the tank.

Somewhere it may be sucking air.

If you can, temporary a piece of clear vinyl hose to the suction side of the lift pump, then watch for bubbles to flow through the line. Should be clear fuel, no air.
 
You have a leak or getting air in system. Start engine and use either or Berryman B12 and spray along lines etc.When you spray loose connection or leak engine will speed up. This will tell your where leak is.
 
Before I try the great ideas from the two previous
I noticed my fuel tap is not supplying fuel very good
My first filter was only half full and no fuel coming out from the inlet pipe
I was told that the filter in the tank gets clogged or knocked off and just take the tap out and clean it
Instead I brought a new tap
Bugger is that I have a full tank of diesel
 
Fixed the problem

Replaced the lift pump as it seemed to be leaking, plus the manual handle was broken.
Replaced the fuel tap as the filter was knocked off and it was full of garbage.
Replaced the secondary fuel filter mount. I had to take it off so as to drain the tank. Then I found someone had stripped the threads in the outlet.

Now runs OK, I think the main problem was the fuel tap as it was not letting enough fuel through so air was being sucked in .
