Don't know about there bushhogs but word around here is stay away from their tractors, no personal experience just staying away.

First thing I would do is make a chain upper link. So when you crossed a ditch it could flex.

That's about 1/2 the price of a new light duty mower that size.

It appears to be in good shape from what can be seen.

About the only thing that can't be repaired with a welder is the blade and gear box. Gear boxes are pretty generic in the $150-200 range.

I would say it's a deal!

Ditto. I haven't heard of too much flat steel decking failure and gear boxes, etc are cheap enough. A 6 foot mower behind my tractor would make for shorter work and a better looking mow job. Paint it yellow and green and call it a Yanmar.
