TEA20 - How to free up stuck side brakes?

Hiya all - been awhile hope everyone is fine.

Can someone pls walk me through how to free up the left and right independent brake pedals on my '52.

Need to do this in preparation of a brake adjustment and have never understood why my main brake pedal works but the side pedals are frozen. Ironically I can reach down and [i:f7327d9fef]pull[/i:f7327d9fef] each one up a few inches for some slight braking on one side or another but they won't budge going down even standing on them.

Figure I should get this sorted before mucking around with shoe adjustments...

Thanks Ron - going to give that a go. A coule blokes over on the other Fergie forum have pinpointed the exact area of "stuckness" as well as confirmed my brake adjustment isn't dependent on freeing them up. Fingers crossed!
