TO 30 ignition timing

Hi, I have a TO30 Ferguson. It was running fine until the starter quit. I pulled the distributor to put on the new starter and evidently I have the timing off.

The only marks I see (through the viewing window under the starter) are 30, 25, 10 on the flywheel.

So how I would I guess how to set the timing?

Some have mentioned setting the timing marks on about 6 with the distributor rotor pointed towards the number 1 sparkplug. But since I don't see a "6" how do I do this?

I use a yellow paint marker and put a line for the 6 position. I believe you should see a 0. Make sure are on compression cycle on #1 cylinder. Pull all
spark plugs out and with a helper either tap the engine over with the starter or hand crank it. There is a definite difference between exhaust and
compression cycle. Use a thumb on the spark plug hole. That done you should be near the 6 mark. Your rotor is now pointing to number 1 plug. And
points should be closed. Tighten distributor enough for the start, reinstall pugs and wires. Should start then check your timing.

I set mine to the 6 degree mark, clamped a straight edge to the front bolster, drew a line on the front pulley to line up on the straight edge, Fired it up and adjusted the timing.
