Hi again
When the tank gets empty of diesel I assume you have to bleed the state.
On a Perkins FE35 how do you do it?

Also where could I get a operators manual?

Above instructions are good; however it is often not easy to bleed them. Getting the priming pump working properly can be problem. The cam driving it needs to be in a position so as to get a full stroke on the pump. It is essential to get all of the air out of the bleeding points, and it is often necessary to crack at least one injector line at the injector to do that. It simply will not start if there is any air in the system.

Beginning with a close to full fuel tank and a good, fully charged battery will help a lot. Sometimes it is even necessary to put a little air pressure (but not too much) in the fuel tank.

On my Perkins 354 engine we manually prime system to get most of air out. Then I open the bleed screw on the injection pump
while cranking engine. Starts easy every time.
