Hi everyone. We have recently bought an old Ferguson tractor. We were told it is a T20 or TE20? It s all completely new to me so have no idea. There is a plate on the dash but any details are completely worn away. Any advice on what to look for is appreciated. Many thanks.

Well, congratulations first off. If you could post a picture of the dash and the engine from both sides we can identify no problem. If it is a TE tractor the
distributor would be made by Lucas, so would the generator. The TE20 has a Continental z120 engine the TEA series has a Standard motor. If a TO

The number of cylinders of the engine, type of fuel,
number of gearshifts (and gears in the transmission
if marked), also the position of the brake pedals is
probably a good place to start. Otherwise posting a
picture is the best but you have to have a certain
number of posts on this site to do that. You can also
google Ferguson TE-20 and see if it looks like what
you have. Best of luck.

Thank you both for your replies. I will take some photos and see if I can work out if and how I can post them! Thanks again
