Hi everyone. We have recently bought an old Ferguson tractor. We were told it is a T20 or TE20? It s all completely new to me so have no idea. There is a plate on the dash but any details are completely worn away. Any advice on what to look for is appreciated. Many thanks.

Thank you both for your replies. I will take some photos and see if I can work out if and how I can post them! Thanks again

The number of cylinders of the engine, type of fuel, number of gearshifts (and gears in the transmission if marked), also the position of the brake pedals is probably a good place to start. Otherwise posting a picture is the best but you have to have a certain number of posts on this site to do that. You can also google Ferguson TE-20 and see if it looks like what you have. Best of luck.

Well, congratulations first off. If you could post a picture of the dash and the engine from both sides we can identify no problem. If it is a TE tractor the distributor would be made by Lucas, so would the generator. The TE20 has a Continental z120 engine the TEA series has a Standard motor. If a TO tractor Continental engine with Delco remy electronic components
