(quoted from post at 00:57:46 08/21/19) Where the diesels available in the TO20/TO30. If so what was the HP

The TO series, made in the US did not offer a diesel. But in the TE series made in England the TEF 20 was a diesel at about 26 hp.
There were also some conversions done using a 3 cylinder Perkins engine.

Not in the TO20/30 series. There was a TEF-20 made in Coventry for the market over there from 1951 until 1956 with a Standard Motors 127 Cu In diesel. That's not to say a few didn't make it over here but doubtful. The first Ferguson diesel in the US was the TO-35 from 1954-56 with a 134 cu in Standard Diesel engine. You would have to work that one to the max to get it to burn 2 gallons per hour. 33 HP approx.

The standard diesel was not a good engine-problems-problems. Ask Tony-Mass he has one and never got it right so now Dieseltech is trying his hand at it. This is probably why Massey Ferguson went to Perkins.

If he replaced the injector tips did he get them clocked right? Is fuel shutoff to the manifold heater good, both can make them run like crap.

Have a 54 TEF20 with the standard 20C diesel up here in Alberta. Not sure the history on it but its been a good tractor. 6 foot rough cut mower works it well. I know of one other locally, so a few made it over the pond
