I am ready to install new tie rod ends and noticed that there seems to be excess wear in the radius rod sockets as well. I have heard of using soft copper hammered in to
a bowl shape as a shim. Is this the best solution? What are some of the solutions that have worked for you?

The quick fix down under that also seems to last for years is to use a few shims cut from aluminium beer cans .
Otherwise an Australian two cent coin , now obsolete , is pure copper and a perfect fit once belted with a ball peen hammer a few times .

Thank you fellas. I have some soft copper in sheet form about 1/16" thick. I had planned on fixing it with that but I wanted other opinions in case I have missed something somewhere.
