When we got our TO30 running again one of the problems was the Starter gave out, we used the one out of a TO35 we have.
And I plan on taking the bad one from the TO30 to get rebuilt at the shop that did my generator, so I can put the other one back in the TO35.
My question is the to30 is converted to 12 volt, new Generator, regulator, and coil all 12 volt now. Do I have the starter rebuilt to a 12 volt to go along with the rest of the system?? The reason I ask is the guy at the shop said I should just have it rebuilt like it is as a 6 volt, just don't crank it very long. So should I do that or just have him make it a 12 volt. He said he could do it either way.
