Re: New to me Ferguson

Got him home today. Removed the paint from the S.N. plate and see that it's a 1950 TO-20 (S.N. TO-34401). I see I need to change engine oil, and was looking all over for an oil filter. Couldn't find one, then noticed a strange looking round plate at the bottom of the oil pan, got down and looked and said to myself, "Well that's a first for me." I see that this site has them, but was wondering if it is the same filter as a Wix 51010? The tractor has been converted to 12 volt and someone wired the ammeter into the charge circuit only. I will be fixing that. Also noticed the head lights only work when the hood is up and resting on the FEL frame. It appears the side panels, are they called dog legs on a Ferguson, aren't grounded very well. I'll be fixing that too.

By the way, That is also known as "Mission Creep". You started off to change the oil and this came along followed by that, followed by the other and so on.
Best of luck to you Mr Phelps.
