I'm trying to rebuild the distributor on my TO35. However, I can't get a wrench on the nut that holds the points and and condensor wire in the pics below. The points are in the way. Do I need to remove the black block that the wire from the coil hooks to on the outside of the distributor? Any ideas how to get that stuff apart?

Use a wrench 5/32 I think-have to look.I have a wrench that is just for this. Pliers will round shoulders.Loosen it and it will slide back but be sure insulator in notch in housing when replacing.I think when you loosen nut you can slide bolt out and tighten nut on outside to keep this from happening next time.
