question...

Nope.

An ORC slows a mower to keep spinning while the PTO & engine slow down or stop. It's typically an extension to the PTO stub on the tractor, and the PTO shaft from the mower attaches to it.

A slip clutch is in the drive line of a mower - Back by the gear box. If the blades hit a stump or rock they allow the driveline to slip instead of breaking something.

A slip clutch is a better alternative to a shear bolt.

No, they are different.

An over running coupler is needed when there is no 2 stage clutch. When running an implement with spinning inertia, like a mower, the spinning implement will continue to push the tractor if there is no means of quickly disengaging the PTO. Can make for a very dangerous situation!

A slip clutch is intended to protect from damaging the PTO or the implement itself in event of a sudden stoppage or overload. Problem is, a slip clutch must be regularly maintained. If left in the same position it will soon rust in place, defeating it's purpose.
